The first two books provide many clear insights into structure with little or no mathematics.  Building structures isn't only about doing sums, or fancy graphic packages, or huge finite element analyses; it's also about intuition, insight, understanding and, yes, feeling.

    (by J E Gordon) are well worth reading, and the rest is superb.
